Testimonials

“Yoga is a fantastic way to improve flexibility, core strength and balance, all of which decline as we age. It is a great way to prevent injuries and control stress. Find a class appropriate to your level and enjoy! The instructors at Dakshina Yoga Studio are very welcoming and supportive, providing a very calming environment in which to practice.”

“Wow! that’s wonderful. My whole experience was totally positive.!
Every one of the instructors was very supportive, encouraging, motivating and pleasant. I found my body and spirit responding very quickly to the practice and atmosphere. Being “slightly” past mid life I generally have trouble sleeping, but I found with the yoga I am able to sleep much better, which is a huge bonus. I love the strength and toning that is resulting from the practice. My chronically inflamed hip joints (from previous 5 yrs of karate) definitely benefitted from the gentle stretching and opening. Overall physically and emotionally uplifting.
I am most definitely hooked! ”

“As a life-long couch-potato fast-approaching the crest of the proverbial hill… I was very very skeptical of this “nambypamby yoga thing” when a friend invited me along to try a class of hot yoga just over a year ago. Self professed to hate sweating, I cannot possibly explain how surprised I was to discover I really liked it! Walking in the doors of Dakshina Yoga that first time quite literally changed my life. I was amazed and intrigued that even I could “do it”, and that by honouring my body, it would in turn honour me. For one hour at a time, all that matters is me and my mat.
Not only did my body instantly love yoga, my heart and soul fell in love too. Thank you to the kind, patient, fun and loving yogini’s at Dakshina who have helped me discover health in my heart and soul. My “new” body is ever so grateful too. Namaste”
